Blakeney, on the North Norfolk coast is an ideal spot for a break whatever the time of year. A quiet, picturesque village with quaint cottages, there are several  pubs and restaurants, a general  food store and wonderful delicatessen where great croissants can be ordered for breakfast.

The unspoiled coastline and marshes provide a haven to wildlife offering bird watching and walking opportunities.Boat trips to see the seals on Blakeney Point run from nearby Morston quay.

Further along the coast is the seaside town Sheringham. Rounds of golf can be booked at the Sheringham  Golf course which is situated right on the coast. For train enthusiasts, the North Norfolk Railway runs from Holt to Sheringham.
There is a wonderful beach at Holkham  with a vast area of sand, while
Holkham Hall is one of several stately homes in the area.

Other attractions are the
National Trust properties of Felbrigg, Blickling and Sheringham Park - where wonderful views of the Norfolk coast can be seen from the viewing towers, Sandringham , Norfolk Lavender, the Norfolk Broads and the city of Norwich.

Blakeney is situated a few  miles from the attractive market town of Holt which boasts a variety of individual shops and boutiques, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Byfords is great for an informal meal at any time of day.
